The Annual Crow Island Run-a-thon is one of the PTO’s largest fundraising events of the year and is a school tradition dating back to 1985! This outdoor event engages the Crow Island community in a common goal around developing a healthy and active lifestyle while supporting the PTO and a local charity.
During Run-a-thon, kids are encouraged to run or walk 30 laps around an assigned track. In the weeks leading up to the event, kids request and track donations from family and friends to support their participation in Run-a-thon. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Misericordia Special Olympics Track & Field Team. Students who return their donation forms by the morning of October 7th will be entered into a raffle for Crow Island spirit wear! Mr. Livingston will announce one winner per grade on the afternoon of the 7th!
There are many ways for parents to participate: make a donation, volunteer to help during the event, and/or attend the event to take pictures, cheer on the runners, and be part of the fun! Parent volunteers are crucial to the success of Run-a-thon!
