DirectorySpot

As a convenience to parents, the Central PTO publishes a school directory each year using DirectorSpot. This online directory app (available for iOS and Android users) contains contact information for all five D36 schools. The directory also contains often-requested information about the school, such as school hours and a school calendar. If you encounter problems, please contact Sarah Sims at Sarah.Sims@me.com.

If necessary, you may edit your family details, but editing can only be done from the website, not from the app. Follow this link for specific editing instructions: https://directoryspot.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/208138643-How-to-edit-your-own-contact-data

IMPORTANT: If you need to edit your information, PLEASE DO NOT remove any (HW/CI/GR) initials from anyone in your family’s name. This initial signifier places your child(ren) in the correct classroom, family, and school in the directory. PLEASE DO NOT edit any STUDENT DETAILS. If your student has any incorrect information in the directory, such as name, or teacher, please email Sarah Sims at Sarah.Sims@me.com.

For iPhone Users

  1. Go to the iTunes App Store and search “DirectorySpot”.
  2. Download to your iPhone (or mobile device).
  3. Launch DirectorySpot, enter your email address* as your Username, and click on “Reset Password.” An email will be sent to you with a link to set your password.
  4. Set your new password, then go back to the DirectorySpot app on your phone and enter your new password (make sure to click on “Save Password” so that you will not have to enter it each time).
  5. Click on “Login” and start using the app!
*The email address used is the one from the current school directory. If you have two emails listed, both/either will work.

For Android Users

  1. Go to Google Play and search “DirectorySpot”.
  2. Download to your Android phone.
  3. Launch DirectorySpot, click “Reset Password”, enter your email address* and an email will be sent to you with a link to set your password.

To access the data from the Web

  1. Go to http://www.directoryspot.net and click on “login” in the upper right hand corner.
  2. Enter your email address as your Username, and click on “Forgot Password.” An email will be sent to you with a link to set your password.
  3. Once you have done that, enter your password.
  4. You will be able to see the directory data and search on it.

Make sure to check out all the features, such as the auto dial when you click on a phone number, or the auto launching of maps when you click on an address. If you hold down the cell phone number, you will get an option to send a text or call the number (iPhone only). DirectorySpot will even create an email if you click on someone’s email address.

Please note: The Crow Island Directory/Directory App is exclusively for the use of Crow Island students and the PTO.  It may not be used for promotion of any activity unrelated to Crow Island School.  It shall not be used for any personal gain, nor made available for commercial or solicitation purposes.  Please contact the school office if you feel your email has been used for the purposes listed above.
