The Crow Island PTO has partnered again with Marla’s Lunches for the 2017-18 school year.  These lunches will be offered daily for approximately $5.50 plus tax for grades 1-4 with a variety of new choices as well as vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options. We will also have ala carte items and rotating “Fun Friday” treats for an additional cost.  This is a great way to support our PTO as well as take a break from packing a lunch.

You can order for the entire session all at one time, order month-to month, or week-to-week, as long as orders are placed by Monday each week at 9am for the following week’s lunch orders. You will be able to change, cancel or edit your upcoming order through the weekly lockout as well. If you miss a deadline, then your downside is packing lunch for one week. We will have two ordering sessions during the school year.

Thanks to Marla’s Lunch program, we have eliminated the task of serving out daily lunches & reduced your volunteer shifts. Please sign up using the volunteer sign up link above. When you get to the school, simply tell Marla’s representative which area you would like to work in. (1st & 2nd graders eat downstairs and 3rd & 4th graders eat upstairs). She will cover any open area or floating between the two lunch areas throughout the lunch period to lend support and help with any questions or lunch issues. You will set up the tables for each lunch shift, organize the lunches according to the teacher & the children will take their lunch with their name on it. Each lunch is individually labeled and packaged with each child’s name and teacher – you are there to help the kids take the correct lunch & have fun!

You will receive a reminder email 4 days prior to your shift.  If you are unable to make the shift please find a replacement and either update the Sign Up Genius or call/text Kendra Drozd at 773.456.5520 or Stephanie Whitney at 224.216.7740. If it is a last minute emergency, or you are running late, please call Hallie Kobylski at the front desk so she can alert Marla’s representative. We have some Thursdays and some Fridays this year so please make an effort to make your shift. Also, if the assigned dates do not fit your schedule, we welcome the help any other day, but please let one of us know so that Marla’s representative can be expecting you.
