Girls On the Run

This event has been postponed due to COVID-19. The hope is that this will be rescheduled for the spring.

This PTO program is for Crow Island 3rd and 4th grade girls who are invited to participate in Girls on the Run in the Fall.

As part of the National Girls on the Run Program, this program entails conducting weekly training sessions to prepare 3rd & 4th grade girls to run a 5K and to encourage the girls to develop positive self-esteem and healthy lifestyles through running. Program runs for a 10-week session and culminates with a 5K race through Grant Park in mid-to late Fall.

Girls on the Run is an after school program, led by parent volunteers, that encourages girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through interactive lessons and running games, culminating in a celebratory 5k run. For more information about the program, click HERE.

There are limited spots (20) available for this wonderful program. There will be a waiting list if we reach the maximum number of participants.
